Dr. Bedri Yusuf is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and seasoned physician executive with over twenty-five years of clinical and healthcare leadership experience across Africa, Europe, and the United States. Most recently, he served as Chief Physician Executive of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group, leading one of the region’s largest multispecialty medical organizations through transformational growth, workforce stabilization, and operational innovation. Born and raised in Ethiopia as the tenth of sixteen children, Dr. Yusuf developed leadership through influence, accountability, and service. After earning his medical degree in Ethiopia, completing dermatology training in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall, and finishing Internal Medicine residency in Atlanta, he built a career that bridges clinical excellence and executive leadership. He has recruited more than 350 physicians, reduced provider turnover by over fifty percent, and pioneered the development of a Care Traffic Control Center that reduced hospital length of stay by more than twenty percent while improving throughput by thirty percent. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Yusuf remains committed to advancing healthcare systems, mentoring physicians, preventing burnout, and supporting global women’s empowerment initiatives in Ethiopia.
